Kapitza designs Kaleidoscope Flowers US postage stamps

The US Postal Service has released the Kaleidoscope Flowers set of four stamps, which feature illustrations created specifically for the project by Kapitza – aka sisters Nicole and Petra Kapitza.
The flowers are based on Kapitza's Roto typeface, a picture font of 52 distinct flower illustrations inspired by exploring rotating shapes and clusters.
The set of four stamps depict the same contemporary flower drawing, with each stamp featuring one of four different colour combinations: red and blue, green and purple, orange and violet, or pink and green. The colour combinations are designed to create the illusion that patterns recede or come forward, amping up their visual appeal.
The designs were commissioned by art director Antonio Alcalá from Studio A.
