The programme of speakers for next month's Plus International Festival has been announced; top of the bill is cult graphic designer and typographer Jonathan Barnbrook.

Possibly best-known for his cover for David Bowie's 2002 album Heathen, Jonathan Barnbrook catapulted into the major league with his collaborations with Damien Hirst. He designed, laid out and did the typography for Hirst's book I Want To Spend the Rest of My Life Everywhere, with Everyone, One to One, Always, Forever, Now.

Barnbrook is also responsible for some of the more influential fonts of the 1990s, and has had a retrospective exhibition of his work at the Design Museum.

Other speakers include Steve Bell, the award-winning Guardian cartoonist who has been the paper's leading political cartoonist for over a decade.

Rob Coke, Dan Moor and Ian Hambleton of multi-disciplinary outfit Studio Output discuss their approach to design, and the studio's emphasis on combining type, layout and illustration in innovative ways.

Jess Conrad of Red Bee Media speaks about the company's increasing diversity of projects, which are currently branching out from TV projects into multiplatform work. Jamie Wieck of innovative award-winning design company Airside discusses the studio's multidisciplinary approach, combining graphic design, digital design, Web, animation and a wealth of other work.

Finally, Jeff Willis of Perks Willis Design speaks. Willis is a Fellow of the Royal College of Art and is a prominent figure in the design community, being a member of the D&AD, the International Society of Typographic Designers, a member of the Sign Design Society and a member of the Higher Education Academy.
