In November 2015, I created the visual identity for the coffee roasting company Quimbaya. Quimbaya is distinguished by trade coffee from Colombia. This needs to be communicated via the logo. For this reason I have decided to use a mask in pre-Columbian style that is somewhat reminiscent of a Mesoamerican civilization. In combination with the modern typefaces, Kumla and Guildford, the result is an exciting design with a high recognition value. The mask also works as a watermark for the stationery and for potential future designs, such as coffee mugs or labels. To enhance the modern aspect, the entire logo is kept plain and can be used well for embossing or burning.
