Type Directors Club Beatrice Warde Scholarship 2016

The TDC Beatrice Warde Scholarship will be awarded to a female student, who demonstrates excellence and promise in the design of type, and who is currently enrolled in her junior undergraduate year. The scholarship will be applied directly to her senior year tuition, which begins September 2016 and concludes in May 2017.

Monotype and the Type Directors Club sponsor the scholarship, which is named in honor of Beatrice Warde (1900-1969). During her career at the Monotype Corporation, Warde championed education in typography and, through her numerous essays, books, articles, and lectures, spread understanding of type.

Students are encouraged to apply for the Beatrice Warde Scholarship for type design.

The deadline for applications is February 11, 2016.
