Penny Farthingby Letraset's Bob Newman was released in 1974. Its namesake comes from the late Victorian-era bicycle (featuring a massive front wheel and a rather small back wheel). Alternates included options for interlocking, vertically stacked characters, and variable widths. (Penny Farthing's kooky alternates were its defining traits.) Sadly, a readily available digital interpretation has yet to make its way into the twenty-first century.
