Wood type on the front cover, metal Futura on the back. The wood type is a design first shown by George Nesbitt in his 1838 catalog asGothic. It was subsequently offered by many wood type manufacturers, so it's almost impossible to say which version Columbia used here, but the credits say "Type by Haber" and my 1970s Haber catalog has a phototype version of Gothic from John Berg, the Columbia/CBS creative director who was obviously a fan of Nesbitt's Gothic, putting it to use on various record covers in the 1960s–70s.
