Every year creative companies, studios and agencies show off their skills, raise awareness or just hawk their wares in a wave of seasonal spots and promos. We've picked some of these festive treats to keep you amused in the run up to Christmas. Enjoy!

Up first is the worthy Snow Shaker Maker, a Christmas project from Brilliant Basics (above).

"Essentially it's a snow globe app that you can add a new character into everyday, but it's also using Google cardboard, so you can create a viewer and 'step inside' your creation," bb's Laura Roberts told us. "We sent thousands of packs to schools around the world for free, and have been getting really amazing feedback on how the kids have loved it."

Have a look below and buy the kit from this link as the profits will go to the Kids Company charity.

San Francisco agency MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER has come up with a festive treat for grammar pedants and sub-editors everywhere, offering this bookmark-let that will add Oxford commas (or serial commas) to any webpage.

Ad agency Mother has released a short film about a seasonal celebrity arriving in London.

Brand&Deliver (B&D) is following a tradition of never creating a simple card. This year there's an easy-to-play, mobile-friendly, turkey plucking game. Click here to play B&D's Fast as Pluck.

The National Film Board of Canada has sent word that animator Torill Kove is continuing her side story inspired by the characters of her short film Me and My Moulton. Her first clip 5 Sure Signs Your Parents Were Architects is followed with this clip celebrating Christmas.

More from Canada, with this film from TBWA\Toronto showing how it let the imaginations of kids run wild.

Sony Pictures Animation sent this seasonal treat doubling up as a long lead for the Hotel Transylvania 2 film.

Still, it's a lot jollier than this festive promo for Liam Neeson's latest paternal outing, Taken 3, from Twentieth Century Fox.
