Hitler Subtitler Gets A Cheap Font CD

Gathering videos for FontShop BeNeLux's new YouTube channel Dieter Geeraerts discovered this hilarious clip and sent it to me. Since Oliver Hirschbiegel's Downfall (Der Untergang) was released in 2004, over a hundred hacked versions of the film's climactic scene have surfaced on YouTube. The work of satirists with access to affordable subtitling software, those pirated versions have new English-language subtitles added to them, having actor Bruno Ganz rail against anything from problems with the new Windows Vista to not getting the pizza he ordered. The meme made the mainstream media (pardon the alliteration), earning a feature in The New York Times Magazine section The Medium last year, and was added to Rocketboom's Know Your Meme project (PMN Caecilia sighting!). Our favourite version is of course the one where Hitler's subtitler gets a cheap font CD. You can guess where it goes from there. The info reads
