Politiken, the "World's Best-Designed Newspaper" in 2011 and 2012 employs Gerard Unger's Capitolium 2 as a fundamental element in its design.
In December 2011, Art Director Søren Nyeland launched a redesign of Politiken, Denmark's second-largest morning newspaper — as well as the international version, Politiken Weekly. In the new design Unger's font is used widespread in the newspaper, both for display as for text size. According to the website Smashing Magazine, the "sharpness of typography is breathtaking".
