Viktor Hertz's Pictograms Are Clever Illustrations Packed With Dark Humor
We know made charming pictograms from famous songs and popular films. This year, however, he's embraced a darker aesthetic. The result? Biting pictograms that cleverly address unrest in the modern age.
From a dollar sign with a hanging noose to a work called "Sharpen Up," where a man grinds his head with a pencil sharpener, Hertz cleverly takes on themes of consumption, religion and love. The artist's pictograms delight and disturb us with such dark humor.
