Quiet Designs was started by Ron Dunant in 1992, and incorporated in 1996. Long before Quiet Designs started, the major project that contributed the most to Ron’s font experience was porting the *nix program troff to MS-DOS. More recently, the lack of an appropriate font for an architectural drawing project led to the design of Quiet Designs' first commercially available font, Architect Small Block.
