It is a highly legible, modern sans serif typeface inspired by Edward Johnston's Railway Type and the research and theories of William Addison Dwiggins theories. Designed for ITDC contest in 2003, extended to OpenType in 2007, it has become a new variant for a workhorse font - with a modern, robust outlook. Typeface is available in broad range of width and weight variations allowing to be used both in tight not limited to headline and wide display contexts. Robusta Pro supports most Latin-based languages, small caps, ligatures, figure sets, fractions and ordinals, most of which are also functional via OpenType features. In 2012-2014 Robusta typeface was extended to Cyrillic and Greek scripts. |
