FONT LICENSE / END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This End User License Agreement (hereinafter EULA, License, Agreement, or License Agreement) is a legal agreement between you and 29Letters Type Foundry, a corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the Lebanese Republic, having its registered office at Fanar, Greater Beirut, Lebanon, registered in the Commercial Registry in Beirut, CR 2034169, MOF 2844126, for the products, designs, and software that accompany this Agreement and is also applicable to any media, printed and non-printed materials, electronic documentation, updates, add-ons, web services, and any other material that may be associated with the product now or in the future. By downloading the Font Software, or opening the package, installing, copying, accessing, or otherwise using the Font Software you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement do not purchase this License, download, install, access, or use the Font Software.
01. OWNERSHIP AND COPYRIGHT
01A.
You have purchased a license to use the fonts software in your own scope of work. The license does NOT grant you an ownership of the fonts. The fonts are the intellectual property of the respective designer/s who designed them, represented hereby 29LT Type Foundry. It is NOT an agreement for sale of the font software or any portion of it.
01B.
Except for your right to use the fonts software granted by this license, all other rights, title of the fonts software, related trademarks and trade names are owned and retained by 29LT Type Foundry. You acknowledge that the software is protected by the Copyright Laws of Lebanon, the copyright and design laws of other nations, and by international treaties.
01C.
The fonts may not be copied or duplicated in any form except for backup purposes. You do NOT have the rights to sell, rent, lease, lent or sub-license the fonts to any other third party whatever the reason or relationship.
01D.
You are NOT allowed to open the fonts in any font editor application (like Fontlab, Fontographer, Glyphs, RoboFont, and others) to modify the outlines of the letters or rename the fonts. Consequently you can NOT modify the fonts and resell them under a different name or design parameters. You may not convert or modify the original font software under any circumstance.
02. LAWFUL USE
02A.
When purchasing any font software from 29Letters and upon full payment of the agreed-upon usage fee, you obtain a license to install the font software on the number of Computing Device that is specified by you in your order. These devices have to belong to the licensee that is specified in your order. They can be connected to, and the font software used with, any number of output devices, such as a laser printer, ink jet printer, an image-setter or a film recorder belonging to the licensee. The font software may be downloaded to the memory (hard disk or RAM) of output devices belonging to the licensee for the purpose of having such font software remain resident in the output device. Each device containing the font software counts as 1 (one) Computing Device.
02B.
The multi-purpose Font License covers all various usage and application such as: (1) Print, (2) Web, (3) App, (4) Publishing, (5) Broadcast, etc.
02C.
Our Font License/s covers the following font formats: (i) OTF = OpenType font format with CFF outlines, (ii) TTF = OpenType font format with TTF outlines, (iii) EOT = Embedded OpenType font format and (iv) WOFF = Web Open Font Format.
02D.
This license does not permit the use of the Fonts by temporary employees, freelancers, or independent contractors in excess of the number of Authorized Users. The fonts can NOT be given to employees for personal use outside the work frame of the company. The fonts should ONLY be installed into an Admin Font Folder (Secure Password Protected) on each computer of the company. Only IT personals and managers have the rights to install or copy the fonts from one computer to another within the company. Password protected font folders will prevent employees the possibility of copying the fonts on their own personal USB or computers without permission. Employees who need to have the fonts for personal use need to purchase their own (Freelancer) License separately.
02E.
If your client will need copies of the Fonts, your client must also purchase a License based on the number of Computing Device in their office/s.
02F.
If the fonts are used for the creation of a corporate identity for a third party company, and the logo or word-mark created uses exactly the letterforms of the Licensed Fonts. The third party company must also purchase a License based on the number of Computing Device in the office/s.
02G.
In order to transfer digital files to printing presses or other private computer networks, you are you are permitted to (1) make a temporary copy of the Fonts for use by a commercial printer or service bureau solely for use in the production of your own materials and/or (2) include a temporary copy the Fonts with a document solely for the purposes of your facilitating your personal printing and/or viewing of the document. We highly recommend though to embed the Licensed Fonts in a secured read-only PDF format file and NOT to package the fonts with digital files and give them to a third party unless they have purchased a Font License too. To minimize risks to your digital files and the final printed outcome, as well as for the protection of the licensed fonts, it is safer to send PDF files to any other third party.
02H.
The Discloser may install the font software on a single file server for use on a single Local Area Network (LAN) only when the use of such fonts software is limited to the Computing Devices and printers that are part of the licensed unit of which the server is part.
03. SELF-HOSTING AND EMBEDDING / SPECIFIC LAWFUL USE OF PRODUCT
03A.
With any purchase of a typeface you get the right to embed the font software on all registered: (i) website/s, (ii) mobile app, and (iii) registered Electronic Publication belonging to the licensee. You need to register all websites, mobile apps, and electronics publication in your clients account at www.29LT.com.
03B.
You are entitled to embed the licensed font software in a secured read-only mode, subject to the following restrictions: you shall secure embedded documents against unauthorized use by any third party, such as extracting the font software or using the embedded licensed font software for editing purposes or the creation of a new document or design.
04. WEB
04A.
Self-hosting is authorized for the website's domain name(s) registered in your client's account and stipulated in your order and the fonts have to be stored on the same server as the other software and assets associated with the licensed domains.
04B.
Only the original WOFF and EOT files delivered with your order and containing the "-web" extension in their name can be used as webfonts.
04C.
Technologies other than @font-face are not allowed.
04D.
To prevent hot-linking and access to the font files by unlicensed parties, you agree to use and store an .htaccess file on your server accordingly with our recommendations sent within your webfonts package.
04E.
The use of third party font hosting services is strictly prohibited.
05. ELECTRONIC PUBLICATION
05A.
Embedding is authorized for the mobile app(s) registered in your client's account and stipulated in your order. You can embed the font software in apps running on iOS, Windows Mobile and Android mobile operating systems. More operating systems could be added in the future. Each app (software) running on each operating system has to be registered. Paid updates have to be registered again. Free updates don't need to be registered again.
05B.
Only the OTF files delivered with your order and containing the "-app" extension in their name can be used in your mobile app |
