Ramiz Guseynov was born in Russia and educated as an architect and graphic designer. His professional career as a graphic designer began with working on corporate identity projects with a strong emphasis on typography. While working at several ad agencies, design studios, and later at his own studio, Guseynov has received numerous national and international recognitions for design excellence.

In 1991 he moved to USA and continued working as a professional graphic designer with a strong passion for typography. In his spare time he has created a number of new digital fonts, some of which were distributed through T26 and Monotype foundry.

TipografiaRamis font foundry was established in 2004 to market his digital fonts. Guseynov is interested in revealing possibilities for creating new typefaces in a geometrical way by using simple basic form elements for shaping letterforms.
