The netzwerk recherche (nr) logo has always used FF Trixie. Although there probably aren't many journalists anymore who use a mechanical typewriter, netzwerk recherche still relies on this famous typewriter font which was originally released in 1991. Its distressed look seems to be the epitome of unsentimental writing and veracity.

This weekend, the annual nr conference takes place in Hamburg. The program and the website use FF Trixie HD, the most sophisticated flavor from Erik van Blokland's 2008 revision. Not only is the HD version more detailed, it also "contains seven alternates for each character, each with its own weight and texture. Just like typewritten forms, the letters dance on the baseline and reveal the effect of ink on the ribbon." — trixiefont.com
